| LiveDesk to be revamped!
Media Infinite has decided to go back to the drawing board with LiveDesk and has withdrawn the product from any further sales.
The decision has been made as the company feel the product needs to take a new fresh look and feel as well as fuctioning in a different way.
Paul Roy, Managing Director of Media Infinite said "We have something like 200 clients using LiveDesk at the moment and will continue to support it and to show them our committment, we have promised them that they can have the new version installed free of charge. The reason LiveDesk is being redeveloped is because the new team feel, we can make an approximate 60% improvement and cater for different markets. The decision has not been made lightly but sometimes its better to write a new version instead of upgrading an old one. We
are going to ensure support departments across the globe are going to be attracted by the new version and have had interest from a large company in Japan"
One of the new features will be to include a remote access system via the user interface to allow support staff to access problems and make callbacks to clients. This has been welcomed by support personnel as they need one solution instead of several. Many new features are planned but will be unveiled nearer its launch which is due in the spring next year.
